The new Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate is an Ofqual regulated qualification designed to build on the basic induction the Care Certificate offers and has been designed to reflect best practice with the intention that it will become the baseline qualification that all Adult Social Care workers achieve.
We charge £The course has been designed to be delivered over 6 - 8 months, although more experienced staff can complete it in a shorter period of time.
Funding is available for employers in this current financial year.

This course covers Dementia Awareness, how to use the person centred approach to the care and support of individuals with dementia, factors that affect communication and interactions with individuals who have dementia and the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in dementia care.

You will look at different types of pathogenic organisms, common health care associated Infections, the chain of infection, correct hand washing, standard/universal procedures for infection prevention and control. Your tutor will be one of our Palliative Care Specialist nurses. You will look at different perspectives on death and dying, the aims, principles and policies of end of life care, factors regarding communication in end-of-life care and how to access the range of support services available.
Understand the role of nutrition in a range of common health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and physical disabilities.
You will cover areas such as prescriptions, the safe administration of medication and record-keeping.

You will cover areas such as the key principles of dignity, duty of care and safeguarding as applied to adult health and social care.
Essential for team leaders and senior carers.
You will cover areas such as person-centred thinking, planning and review, the promotion of health and well-being through nutrition and hydration and supporting individuals to maintain personal hygiene.

Your tutor will be one of our Diabetes Nurse Specialists and you will cover areas such as awareness, initial care and the treatment and management of diabetes.
A more comprehensive course than the Award, ideal for inhouse Trainers.
This qualification is aimed at learners in the health and social care sector and provides an in-depth coverage of knowledge and understanding in how to prevent infection in health care settings, including personal hygiene, decontamination, cleaning and waste management.
This includes how to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally, how to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, and safe use an automated external defibrillator.
Ideal for inhouse trainers, this qualification provides learners with: an understanding of the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare; an understanding of the process of risk assessment and how they improve health and safety at work; knowledge of procedures for responding to accidents, near misses and ill-health and knowledge of how to control the risks of infection.
Learners will outline current nutritional guidelines for a healthy diet, describe the impact diet has on health, describe food preparation techniques that maintain the nutritional value of food and understand how to plan and provide meals for those with special diets (including medical needs, allergies, vegans, vegetarians and diets for different faiths).
Ideal for inhouse trainers, this qualification is designed to provide learners with an awareness of the benefits of risk assessment in any environment, however we tailor it to meet the requirements of a Health and Social Care environment.
