Delivered over 2 full days, this intensive course takes an in-depth look at:

• What does Forensic Mental Health mean?
• Understanding antisocial /dissocial, psychopathic, narcissistic and board line/ EUPD personality disorder.
• Understanding emotional and psychological / behavioural vulnerabilities
• Awareness of & recognising triggers, risk assessment and risk reduction of forensic risk behaviours including
• Fire setting
• Stalking
• Aggression
• Sexual risk behaviours 
• Sexual violence 
• Improving risk assessments, risk management and safeguarding of staff and service users. 
• Forensic behaviours in LD
• Forensic behaviours in Autism 

This full day course has been designed and written by our Mental Health Specialist nurses to support you and your staff in delivering the best care possible to individuals who have been affected by a trauma.

By the end of the course you will:

•Demonstrate awareness of what trauma is and different types of trama 

•Understand

•Understand impact of trauma on the individual and how it effects their life

•Be able to support a trauma survivor in a person centred way

Our CPD accredited CHAP training is also available to those working in Mental Health settings, and has been tailored to cover the key areas required to enable you to develop your career as a Mental Health Support Worker.

Set at Level 3, our CHAP programme will provide the skills and understanding required to become a senior support worker in Mental Health.
